On the 14th of January 2017, residents of Stockport marched from High Lane and down the A6 past one of the key sites in GMSF's planned greenbelt landgrab. From there - in a very British protest - they queued for buses at the Rising Sun and headed to meet fellow green belt protest groups from Cheadle Hulme, Bramhall and Woodford (many having their packed lunches en route!).
At the Blossoms pub, all groups combined together and marched along a stretch of the A6 to the Town Hall where a lively, good spirited protest was held on the steps.
Here are a few photographs from what was a great day out in aid of a great cause - Stockport's green heritage.
